Cameron Twitty is a 6'1 190lb multiposition player from Gilbert, SC where he attends Gilbert High School. He is an athletic build with good baseball strength. High baseball IQ. Also plays football. Runs well for a corner outfielder and reads the ball exceptionally well off the bat, good baseball instincts. Plenty of arm in the outfield as player also sees time on the mound. On the mound Twitty is new to pitching due to wealth of D1 arms on high school staff, yet works low 80's and not afraid to challenge with the fastball. Fastball tends to move late with sink. Slider/cutter is there with upside, further developing change up could make an interesting follow for mound time after high school. Good bloodlines, Uncle pitched in MLB. Twitty also has ability to play 1B at the next level. At the plate, bat speed is evident from the left side, ball jumps off the bat with carry. Stock will improve as Twitty has opportunity for breakout senior year on the diamond.
