Chris Moody is a 5-6 135 outfielder from Columbia, SC where he attends Ridge View High. He has a shorter athletic build with a lot of compact strength. Fast twitch athlete, reacts quickly. Outfield arm is a plus with with great carry, gunned down multiple players in the summer of 2012. Great range in the outfield and gets outstanding jumps to complement his ability to read the ball off the bat. Bats switch with quick hands and surprising pop at the plate, takes aggressive swings. Ball jumps hard at the plate with carry, easily has doubles and triples pop and has shown ability to pop balls out the park at Clemson camp. Lets the ball get deep in the zone with his quick hands and not afraid to use the whole field from foul line to foul line. Nice raw bat speed. Aggressive base stealer who is a threat to go in any count. Great approach to the game. Exceptional student, A+ character and work ethic which is so important. Fun player to watch. To sum up, small frame with big game. One of the best 2014 outfielders to follow in the midlands and state.
