Scouting Report:
Koty Brigham is a 2017 prospect out of Hilton Head High School. Brigham is a burner when it comes to speed. Very fast twitch athlete. He stands in at 5'8 and 155lbs but his game plays big. He gets down the line on a single at 3.75 in the video but scouts have had him faster than that in game. Did not get caught stealing all summer, including at Perfect Game National where he made the 17u All Tournament Team. He's in the 6.5-6.6 range in the sixty. Brigham may be the fastest uncommitted player in SC for the 2017 class. The infield is jumpy when he comes up or on the bases. Defensively he is going to save runs with his range whether in the infield or outfield. Arm is adequate from SS but plays better at 2B, very smooth on double play turns. At the plate he is a team leader in quality-at-bats, hit leadoff all summer and showed he could hit his way on versus major D1 commits. Drag bunt can be a weapon. Will hit for average and can turn singles in to doubles. Brigham is a definite follow and will add value to a college program at the next level.
