Team Guidelines/Rules to Live By:
1.    Be on time (early is always better than late)

2.    Use positive language (no profanity)

3.    Be a part of the solution, not the problem (don’t criticize, condemn, or complain)

Definition of Success: Peace of mind, the self-satisfaction of knowing you truly did the best you are capable.

·         Be the best version of yourself, never try to be better than someone else, but always learn from others.

·         ALWAYS strive to be the best you can be, NEVER cease to be the best you can be.

·         Control what you can control, don’t be adversely affected by what you can’t control

Taking your Game To The Next Level
·         If you want more control of your game, and your life in general, take more responsibility over it.

·         There is no progress without change, do the things necessary to make your mental goals a reality.

·         Enjoy the process of getting better; the journey is better than the end.

·         Give your all, the team can “win” or “lose” based on the score, but your goal is to win as an individual by giving your all.

·         Have faith, patience, and confidence. Players that have these qualities make it a lot further and play a lot longer.

Body Language

No matter what happens, always maintain positive body language. When you get in to a situation where you are sure of yourself and confident, how do you act? It’s not a cocky attitude, but confident. You may hear coaches yell “ABC!” this is to get you focused on what’s important now (at that moment). Use this in any situation whether it is pre-pitch or pre-at bat:

ABC

A.   Act Big – No matter your size exude confidence, your teammates and opponents are watching.

B.   Breathe Big – You may notice pro or college pitchers or hitters routine of taking a deep breath before pitching or stepping in the box. Take in a full deep breath and blow it out, it makes a difference.

C.   Commit Big – What’s your goal? If you’re up to bat maybe it’s "see the ball big", if you’re pitching maybe it’s tunnel vision to the catcher’s mitt. Whatever your specific focus is at that time commit to it 100% and let everything else go!

Team Goals

1.    Pitching: Throw Strikes – 60% or greater first pitch strikes, 60% or greater overall strikes.

2.    Fielders: Make Routine Plays – If you can make “Sporstcenter plays” good for you! We want you to make the basic plays you should make first though. 21 routine plays for outs in a row as a team.

3.    Hitting: Quality At-Bats/”BASE2” – We track quality AB’s as your average (not batting average), team and individual. 60% or greater as a team.

*By doing 1, 2, and 3 we will be in a position to win every game.

Nobody hands you this game on a silver platter, you have to earn it!
